The forums will allow candidates and transportation advocates to discuss the importance of improving Minnesota’s highways and other transportation systems.

Beginning Sept. 4, the Minnesota Transportation Alliance will host a series of Transportation Candidate Forums. The Alliance, a statewide coalition of organizations advocating for a safe and effective transportation system, hopes that engaging candidates in discussions about transportation will elevate transportation funding as a priority during the 2013 legislative session. The League is a member of the Minnesota Transportation Alliance.

The forums will allow candidates and transportation advocates to discuss the importance of improving Minnesota’s highways, transit systems, ports and waterways, aviation and rail systems.

The forums are free of charge and open to the public. The League encourages city officials in regions where the forums will be held to attend the forums.
