MnDOT Opens Public Comment Period on Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan

The Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan serves as the framework for MnDOT's modal investment plans.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has released for public comment a draft of the 20-year Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan. This plan will serve as a policy guide for making transportation investment decisions for all of Minnesota.

The public is invited to review and provide comments on the draft plan through July 31. Comments may be sent to:

Additionally, a public hearing is scheduled for July 12 at 4:30 p.m. at MnDOT Central Office. It will be videoconferenced at MnDOT offices statewide.

The Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan serves as the framework for MnDOTs modal investment plans. MnDOT is beginning the process of developing its 20-year State Highway Investment Plan 2013-2032 (Highway Plan). The purpose of the Highway Plan is to link the objectives and strategies laid out in the Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan to capital improvements on the state highway system.
