Seminar Provides Leadership Tools for Fire Officers

A free leadership seminar for fire officers will be presented in three locations in February. “Leadership Rules of Engagement for Fire Officers” explores the many concepts needed to be an effective officer in today’s fire service.

The program is highly interactive and covers challenges fire officers face, attitudes, roles and responsibilities, performance problems, conflict management, coaching concepts, budgets, and more. Participants will be provided proven methods for effective leadership.

Dates and locations for the seminar are:

  • Feb. 6—Fergus Falls
  • Feb. 7—Willmar
  • Feb. 9—Faribault

Presenter Tim Holman, a 36-year fire service veteran and current fire chief in German Township, Ohio, has conducted programs throughout the country. He speaks and trains on a variety of fire and EMS management and leadership issues.
