Safety Training Courses at Special Pricing for LMCIT Members
Take advantage of safety training courses that will support your safety program and help you comply with regulations. Special member pricing on these courses is a benefit of your membership in the Minnesota Safety Council, funded by LMCIT for all of its member cities and affiliates.
- The Basic Workplace Safety Certificate is a designation from the Minnesota Safety Council and Minnesota OSHA for those seeking the basics of administering an effective workplace safety and health program. The three courses that lead to the certificate will be offered at the Minnesota Safety & Health Conference, May 14–16. Pre-registration is required for each course: Introduction to Occupational Safety, Introduction to Occupational Health, and Introduction to Loss Control.
- Safety Committees, June 4. This training covers how to form a safety committee, set and meet goals, and get people involved and motivated.
- Safety Training Methods, June 10. This covers adult learning principles, training course development, effective use of training aids, basics of public speaking, and more.
- Globally Harmonized System is Here, June 14. This Minnesota-specific training covers what you need to know about the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of chemicals.
