At its most recent meeting on Jan. 10, the Council on Local Results and Innovation focused on changes to the recommended city and county measures, and declared one of its goals to be giving local governments more flexibility in which measures they use.
Sub-groups made up of city councilmembers are working on proposed changes to the measures for both cities and counties. The group also discussed potential legislative changes to the state’s Performance Measurement Program, including raising the reimbursement rates and modifying the survey requirements.
The Legislature created the council in 2012 and charged it with developing the Performance Measure Program.
The council’s next meeting will be in late January and is open to the public. The group is required to present its recommendations to the Legislature in February.
