About the League

The League of Minnesota Cities has worked with and for its member cities since 1913. The League advocates on behalf of its members on major policy issues and promotes a city agenda to state legislators, the governor, state agencies, and Minnesota's congressional delegation. The League's Insurance Trust offers insurance coverages and risk management services specifically designed for the needs of cities.

Our customized products and services, specialized information, and original research provide direct guidance to city officials on municipal operations and governance. Training and conferences keep elected and appointed officials up to date on critical issues, help build skills, and provide networking opportunities.

The League is governed by a Board of Directors composed of elected and appointed officials from across the state.
